LaLiga Santander: Villarreal CF opens an academy in Indiana, the club's eighth in the USA

Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander) is opening an academy in Mishawaka, Indiana (USA), its eighth in the United States and its 14^th outside Spain, announced the club on 18/05/2021.

"Aimed at children aged 14 to 18, it offers a unique opportunity for youngsters in the area, not only providing sporting education under the Yellows' leading methodology, but also combining it with the academic curriculum also offered by the academy. Students will attend class at the academy, before their after-school training," said the Spanish club, which will face Manchester United FC (Premier League) in the final of the 2020-21 Europa League on 26/05/2021.

"Two students are sent to Villarreal, Spain for a week each year, all expenses paid, on behalf of ISAA/Villarreal Indiana Academy to test their skills with Villarreal's finest academy products. To prepare students for collegiate soccer, ISAA takes a monthly trip to a college or university, all expenses paid, to scrimmage against their junior varsity team.
