Angers SCO: a new logo in the shape of a diamond, in reference to the club's historic crest

Angers SCO (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) have presented a new logo on 19/05/2021. The club retains many elements of the previous one, used since 2012, but have made several changes, including the integration of the fleur-de-lys, one of the emblems of the city of Angers (Maine-et-Loire, FRA), and especially the use of a diamond shape inspired by the club's historical logo (used until 1994).

"Embroidered on our scarves, inseparable from our shirts, messenger of our identity, our coat of arms has crossed the ages with one motto: to proudly represent our history. At a time when the temptation is towards cold minimalism, sometimes to the detriment of the heritage it carries, we have chosen a coat of arms that draws on what has always been the strength of the SCO: unity," said the club.

For the design of its new logo, Angers SCO solicited several agencies, the logo finally chosen having been proposed by the communication agency Welko, based in Angers (FRA).
