Premier League: Manchester City FC to launch NFT collection to celebrate their seventh league title

Manchester City FC (Premier League) has launched an NFT collection in collaboration with Swedish-born artist Jon Noorlander, in order to commemorate their seventh league title, announced the 2020-21 Premier League champions on 19/05/2021. The club is mathematically assured of winning the English championship after Manchester United FC lost to Leicester City FC (1-2) on Matchday 35 of the Premier League, on 11/05/2021. 

The collection titled "1", representing the club's final position in the table, consists of a series of four commemorative digital artworks: "The Champions Celebrate, the hero piece of the collection, which will be a unique edition, Signed by the Champions, The Champions Mosaic and The Champions Medal," said the Mancunian club.

The NFT collection will be launched on MakersPlace (a digital artworks marketplace) on 24/05/21, the day after the club lifts the Premier League trophy at the Etihad Stadium (55,000 capacity) following their game versus Everton FC (Matchday 38 of the 2020-21 Premier League season, 23/05/2021, kick-off at 16:00 BST).
