FC Bayern Munich: partnership with the city of Munich featured on the club's 2021-22 away shirt

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) are reinforcing the link with their hometown: for the 2021-22 season the "Münchner Kindl" (Munich Child), a symbol of the German city, will be featured underneath the collar on the back the club's away shirts" as part of "the start of a multifaceted partnership between the city of Munich and FC Bayern," announced the 2020-21 German champions on 20/05/2021.

"Putting the Münchner Kindl on our jersey, on our shrine, makes it clear how close the bond with the city of Munich is. FC Bayern and the city of Munich belong together. Munich is our home, at the same time we are also a cosmopolitan club, we want to convey Munich and FC Bayern to the outside world," said Jörg Wacker, executive board member, in charge of internationalisation and strategy at FC Bayern Munich.
