UEFA: 12th edition of "The European Club Footballing Landscape" report, focused on the pandemic

UEFA has published the 12th edition of its annual club licensing benchmarking report "The European Club Footballing Landscape" on 21/05/2021. "This years edition provides the first authoritative and in-depth examination of how the pandemic has affected European football. The report shows that clubs across all tiers of European football are forecast to miss out on €9bn of revenue in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 financial years," explained UEFA.

"In last year's report (2020), I said that European football was strong, united, resilient and ready for new challenges. But no one could have predicted that we would have to face the biggest challenge to football, sport and society in modern times. However, thanks to almost a decade of financial fair play regulations, before the outbreak European football could hardly have been in better financial shape," said Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA president.
