2020-21 LaLiga Santander: Club Atlético de Madrid claim their 11^th Spanish title

Club Atlético de Madrid have been crowned Spanish champions after beating Real Valladolid CF 2-1 on Matchday 38 the final matchday of the 2020-21 LaLiga Santander season on Saturday 22/05/2021.

The Madrid club, whose last league title came in 2013-14, ended the season with 86 points (26 wins, 8 draws, 4 losses), two more than Real Madrid CF (2^nd with 84 points) - last years champions - and seven more than FC Barcelona (3^rd with 79 points).

The 2020-21 title is Atlético Madrid's 11^th national league title, consolidating their position as the third most successful Spanish club. Only Real Madrid (34 titles) and FC Barcelona (26 titles) have achieved more.
