Europa Conference League: trophy presented for the new European Cup which begins in 2021-22

The new trophy for the winners of the Europa Conference League, UEFA's new European Cup competition, which begins in 2021-22, was presented on 24/05/2021. The trophy measures 57.5cm high and weighs 11kg. It is composed of 32 hexagonal spines representing each of the clubs in the group stage (8 groups of 4), according to the European body.

"Aside from giving more players the chance to experience European football, which can only help to develop their footballing careers, the competition will also give clubs an additional chance to win a European trophy," explained UEFA.

"We want to make our competitions more inclusive - to give clubs and fans the chance to dream and compete for European honours. This is why we created the Europa Conference League. We have 55 national associations who make up UEFA, and it is important to give clubs from as many federations as possible, the chance to prolong their European campaigns for as long as possible," said Aleksander Ceferin, president of UEFA.
