2020-21 Ligue 1 Uber Eats: LOSC Lille claim their fourth title as French champions

LOSC Lille have been crowned French champions after their 2-1 victory over Angers SCO on Matchday 38, the final matchday of the 2020-21 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season on Sunday 23/05/2021. The Lille club finished with 83 points (24 wins, 11 draws, 3 losses), one point more than last season's champions Paris Saint-Germain in second place. 

This is LOSC Lille's fourth French league title after those obtained in 1946, 1954 and 2011. It marks the end of a season in which the club changed its majority shareholder from Victory Soccer Limited (based in London, ENG), owned by the Spanish-Luxembourg businessman Gérard Lopez, to Callisto Sporting S.à.r.l., which belongs to Merlyn Partners SCSp (an investment firm based in Luxembourg), on 18/12/2020. On the occasion Olivier Létang was named as president of LOSC Lille, succeeding Gérard Lopez.
