The Vietnamese bank SHB (Saigon Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank) has signed a partnership deal with Manchester City (Premier League champions in 2013-2014) for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia for two seasons, the team announced on 01/07/2014. The contract goes through the end of the 2015-16 season.

This partnership enables SHB to market a Manchester City debit card to its 2m clients and 400 branches in Southeast Asia before the start of the 2014-15 season. A prize draw amongst card owners will offer chances to meet Manchester City players, to attend games, to visit the Etihad Stadium (capacity 55,000) and to win signed shirts.

"Following a string of recent accolades, including the 'most innovative trade bank' in Vietnam, SHB’s reputation as a dynamic, forward-thinking financial institution is richly deserved," said Tom Glick, chief business officer for Manchester City on 01/07/2014.

  • Vietnamese bank SHB is a major partner of SHB Danang FC (fourth in V-League, the Vietnamese first division, in 2013-14).
