Rugby: BBC and ITV in exclusive negotiations for UK TV rights to the Six Nations (2022-2025)

The British public broadcaster BBC and the British private operator ITV have entered into exclusive negotiations for the UK TV rights to the Six Nations Championship (men's, women's and men's U20) for the 2022-2025 cycle, announced Six Nations Rugby, the organising company of the events, on 21/05/2021.

"Subject to contract it is envisaged that all three Championships will be shared in the following manner:
• For the men's Guinness Six Nations Championship, ITV will show all of England, Ireland, Italian and French home matches, while BBC will broadcast all of Scotland and Wales' home matches.
• The women's Six Nations, will be broadcast exclusively on the BBC with unprecedented broadcast investment.
• In addition the stars of tomorrow will get to showcase their skills with consistent coverage of the men's U20's Championship also being shown on the BBC," said Six Nations Rugby confirming an agreement mentioned by the British daily The Telegraph on 19/05/2021.
