Women's football: Barça and Lyon to take part in the International Champions Cup (18 to 21/08/2021)

The third edition of the Women's International Champions Cup, an international pre-season competition, will take place from 18 to 21/08/2021 at the Providence Park (25,218 capacity) in Portland (Oregon, USA), announced the American media company Relevent Sports Group (a subsidiary of the investment fund RSE Ventures), organiser of the tournament, on 19/05/2021.

Four teams will participate in this third edition, which was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic:
• Olympique Lyonnais (D1 Arkema), winners of the 2020 Women's Champions League and the 2019-20 French championship
• FC Barcelona (Primera Division Femenina), winners of the 2021 Women's Champions League and the 2020-21 Spanish league
• Portland Thorns, winners of the 2020 NWSL Fall Series
• Houston Dash, winners of the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup.

The semi-finals are already scheduled with OL - Barça and Portland - Houston on Wednesday 18/08/2021. The final and match for third place will take place on Saturday 21/08/2021.
