Liverpool FC (Premier League), via the LFC Foundation, and equipment supplier Nike, have joined forces to launch "Game On", a programme aimed at making sport more accessible to youngsters aged 7 to 12 from minority backgrounds, and the creation of a coaching academy, announced the club on 25/05/2021.

"Game On will support young people by providing them with opportunities to become members of local, diverse sports clubs and play a variety of sports, including boxing, tennis, cricket, athletics, basketball, cycling, gymnastics and much more. The programme will also involve the creation of a new coaching academy, which will inspire participants to play and coach sports, creating opportunities for a lifelong pathway. The academy will also have a specific focus on recruiting from marginalised communities to help remove any barriers to sport that may exist.  LFC Foundation will mentor the coaches and provide them with work experience and training opportunities across Liverpool FC and through local grassroots clubs," said the English club, whose initiative is expected to benefit 2,000…
