2020-21 Premier League: an average audience of 879,000 (NBC) and 414,000 viewers (NBCSN) in the USA

2020-21 Premier League matches broadcast in the US on the free-to-air linear channel NBC (one game per matchday) drew an average of 879,000 viewers (up 2% versus 2019-20) and an average of 414,000 viewers on the pay-TV bouquet NBCSN (down 10%), according to figures released by NBC Sports on 27/05/2021.

These figures do not include audiences on the Spanish-language networks nor on the OTT platform Peacock. The decrease in the average number of viewers on NBCSN was due to the broadcast of more live games than in previous seasons due to scheduling shifts related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Eight matches broadcast on NBC and NBCSN drew more than one million viewers, a record for a single season since the start of the current six-year (2016-2022) $1bn (€820m) contract between NBCUniversal (a subsidiary of US telecoms and media conglomerate Comcast) and the Premier League.
