FC Nantes: complaint to be filed following incidents at the Beaujoire after match versus Toulouse FC

"FC Nantes (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) strongly condemns the unacceptable attack of which the club fell victim yesterday (30/05/2021) evening inside the Beaujoire," announced the club, which then filed a complaint with the prosecutor of Nantes (FRA) on 31/05/2021.

"About thirty hooded individuals attacked the Stade de la Beaujoire by forcing their way into the stadium with violence. Despite an intervention by security, an unjustifiable outburst of violence endangered the integrity of the people present there (employees, security guards). Today, FC Nantes deplores the injuries sustained and fears the worst for the future," said the club regarding the incidents that took place at around 10:45 CET on 30/05/2021, a few hours after the final whistle of their play-off second leg versus Toulouse FC (Ligue 2 BKT), which was crucial for their chances of staying in Ligue 1 (FC Nantes lost 0-1 but won the first leg 2-1 at the Stadium de Toulouse and thus remain in the top flight).
