esports: Team Vitality launches an in-game operation in partnership with Yamaha (motorbikes)

Yamaha Motor, the vehicle brand of the eponymous Japanese conglomerate, has become an official partner of the French esports and entertainment organisation Team Vitality, from 2021, announced the motorbike manufacturer on 01/06/2021.

"This collaboration will result in the launch of the Dark Friday competition, which will allow fans to compete against Team Vitality players on the CS:GO game (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, published by Valve), in the recreated universe of the Dark Side of Japan," said Yamaha. Team Vitality has Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut on its roster, who was named the best player in the world on CS:GO in 2019 and 2020.

As part of the Dark Friday operation, Team Vitality will offer its fans an in-game experience, within the CS:GO first-person shooter, by offering "two battlegrounds that faithfully recreate the world of Yamaha's Dark Side of Japan. Darkness, textures, neon lights, smoke... realistic 3D MT-07 and MT-09 motorbikes move symbiotically in these mysterious settings."
