LaLiga Santander: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter reports of the 20 clubs (June 2021)

The 20 clubs in the 2020-21 LaLiga Santander have 543 million fans on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/06/2021. This total makes the Spanish first division the second most popular European Top 5 league on the three social networks combined, behind the Premier League, with an average of more than 27 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF are the most popular Spanish club with over 247 million fans, while FC Barcelona, second, with a total of 237 million, are ahead of Club Atlético de Madrid in third place with 30.3 million.

Real Madrid posted the best growth in absolute value across the three social networks during the month of May 2021 with a total of 1.8 million additional fans, including 69% (+1.2 million followers) on Instagram alone. No other club from one of the European Top 5 leagues acquired as many fans during the same period.
