Kay Dammholz has been appointed head of media rights at the German Football Association (DFB), effective 01/06/2021. Dammholz "will be responsible for the domestic and international marketing of media rights, production and product management, plus the DFB's own digital platforms," said the body the same day.

"After working for agencies including Sportfive and Kentaro, Dammholz was responsible for marketing the foreign rights of the Bundesliga at the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) for eight years, before helping to set up the streaming service DAZN in the German-speaking region as managing director rights & distribution in 2016. About two and a half years ago, he founded his own sports marketing and consulting agency SASS Media GmbH," said the German Football Association.

"I would like to thank you for your trust and look forward to further developing the content of the department with my new colleagues and to strengthening the media presence of the leagues, competitions and national teams of the DFB in the interests of the fans," said Kay Dammholz.
