FC Girondins de Bordeaux: 4 bids to buy the club selected, offers expected in June

FC Girondins de Bordeaux (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), assisted by Rothschild & Co, its advisory bank, and Frédéric Abitbol, the ad hoc representative appointed by the Bordeaux Commercial Court, has identified four applications from potential buyers, according to the club on Twitter on 02/06/2021.

"While FC Girondins de Bordeaux is strongly impacted (by the economic situation linked to the Covid-19 pandemic and the withdrawal of Mediapro), King Street (an American investment fund), its shareholder, after having invested €46m in the club since its purchase, has made it known that it no longer wishes to support the club and finance its current and future needs. These circumstances have led the president (Frédéric Longuépée) to protect the club by placing it under the protection of the Bordeaux Commercial Court," announced the Bordeaux club on 22/04/2021.
