EFL: Puma succeeds Mitre as official ball supplier of the English Football League from 2021-22

The German equipment manufacturer Puma has become the official ball supplier of the English Football League as part of "a long-term agreement from the start of the 2021-22 season," announced the EFL on 03/06/2021. Puma succeeds the English equipment manufacturer Mitre, partner of the EFL for the last 45 years. The value of the new agreement has not been communicated.

The deal will see "Puma produce the official match ball for all EFL competitions, including the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One, Sky Bet League Two, Carabao Cup and Papa John's Trophy (English Football League Trophy)," said the English Football League. For each of the EFL leagues the 2021-22 season will begin on the weekend of 07/08/2021, with the first round of the Carabao Cup beginning on 09/08/2021 and the first round of the Papa John's Trophy on 30/08/2021, as announced by the League on 08/02/2021.
