Premier League: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (June 2021)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2020-21 Premier League season have more than 570 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/06/2021. This total enables the Premier League to maintain its position as the most popular Top 5 European league, all three social networks combined, ahead of LaLiga Santander, with an average of 28.5 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with over 139 million fans, followed by Chelsea FC, with more than 93 million and Liverpool FC, with over 85 million.

2020-21 Champions League winners Chelsea FC was the club that experienced the best growth in absolute value during the month of May 2021 with 1.5 million additional fans, including 66% (+1 million) of them on Instagram alone. Only Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, +1.8 million followers, including 1.2 million on Instagram) performed better among the clubs of the European Top 5 over the period.
