Euro 2020: France No.1 on social networks with 19.9 million followers

With 19.9 million followers on its "Équipes de France" social networks (run by the FFF), the French national team has the most followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram among the 24 nations competing in Euro 2020 (11/06 to 11/07/2021), according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/06/2021.

England (17.4 million followers), Germany (13.9 million), Portugal (12.6 million), Spain (9.3 million) and Italy (9.1 million) constitute the Top 6 most followed Euro 2020 teams on social networks. This Top 6 (25% of the participants) and their 82.4 million followers represent 84% of the total social media follower base of the 24 participating teams. 13 teams do not have more than one million followers when combining their accounts on the three networks.

France are top of the rankings on Instagram (8.5 million followers) and Twitter (5.1 million followers), but third on Facebook (6.2 million likes), behind England (7.3 million) and Germany (6.3 million).
