Italy: Telecom Italia (TIM) extends as title sponsor of the "Serie A TIM" for 2021-2024

Telecom Italia (TIM), an Italian telecommunications operator, has extended its partnership with Lega Serie A as the title sponsor of the Italian championship, which will continue to be known as the "Serie A TIM" for three additional seasons (2021-2024), announced the body on 07/06/2021.

The agreement also includes the naming rights to the League's esports competition, the eSerie A TIM (launched in 2020), and the Primavera competitions (for 15-21 year olds) which will bear the name TIMVision, after TIM's dedicated entertainment and sports streaming platform.

Lega Serie A had renewed its naming rights agreement with TIM for three seasons (2018-2021) on 26/07/2018. Over the three-year cycle, the amount was €15m per season. For this new rights cycle over 2021-2024, the amount has reportedly been revised upwards by 33% to €20m per season according to Italian media. TIM has held the naming rights to the Italian top flight since 1998-99.
