Euro 2020: all 51 matches to be broadcast free-to-air in the UK and Spain

100% of the 51 matches of Euro 2020, which begins this Friday 11/06/2021 with Turkey - Italy (kick-off 21:00 CET) will be broadcast free-to-air in the UK and Spain. Among the European Top 5, this will not be the case in Germany (80.4% of matches free-to-air/41 out of 51), Italy (52.9%/27 out of 51) or, most notably, France (45.1%/23 out of 51), three countries where matches will be broadcast exclusively on pay-TV channels or platforms.

• France: the free and private TV channels TF1 and M6 share the free-to-air rights to 23 matches (11 for M6, including the final, 12 for TF1, including two group stage matches of the French team) and the pay-TV group beIN Sports will broadcast all 51 matches. These rights were acquired for estimated amounts of €50m (TF1 and M6, on 29/11/2019) and €38m (beIN Sports, on 07/01/2020).

• Italy: the public broadcasting group RAI will broadcast 27 fixtures and the pay-TV group Sky Italia all the matches, including 24 exclusively. These rights were acquired on 25/01/2018.
