Bundesliga: Jan Mayer replaces Peter Görlich on TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's management board

Professor Jan Mayer has been appointed to the management board of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (Bundesliga), where he will be in charge of innovation and business development, announced the club on 07/06/2021.

The sports psychology specialist, who joined the club in 2008, replaces Peter Görlich, who was dismissed by shareholders Dietmar Hopp and Kristian Baumgärtner effective 01/06/2021. Together, Jan Mayer and Peter Görlich had been actively involved in the creation of the TSG Research Lab gGmbH, a research laboratory focused on innovation and science within the German club, which the former had headed since August 2019.

In addition to Jan Mayer, the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim management board consists of Frank Briel, responsible for finance and organisation, and Denni Strich, responsible for sales, marketing and communication.
