World Rugby: Mastercard committed to women's rugby, including the WXV competition, until 2025

Mastercard has renewed and extended its partnership with World Rugby by becoming a founding global partner of its Women in Rugby programme and a global partner of the 2021 Rugby World Cup, 2025 Rugby World Cup and the WXV, the annual women's world competition that will start in 2023, announced the body on 09/06/2021. The American group specialised in payment solutions had previously extended its contract with World Rugby until the 2023 World Cup held in France on 25/02/2021.

"In addition to the partnership, World Rugby has launched its new Women in Rugby Team Powered marketing campaign. It aims to inspire more women and girls to play and watch the sport. Mastercard will be the exclusive partner of the Youth Unstoppables element of the Team Powered campaign and work to inspire young women and girls to get involved in the sport through a unique digital content series championing inspirational females around the world," said World Rugby.
