Scotland: Cinch becomes title sponsor of the top 4 divisions via record partnership with the SPFL

Cinch, a British online car sales platform belonging to Constellation Automotive Group, has become a partner of the Scottish Professional Football League, and has obtained the naming rights to the four men's divisions from 2021-22 for five seasons (2021-2026), announced the Scottish body on 10/06/2021.

"With immediate effect, Scotland's professional football leagues will be known as the cinch Premiership, cinch Championship, cinch League 1 and cinch League 2," explained the SPFL. Cinch will also become the league's official automotive partner. As part of the agreement, Cinch's logo will be integrated into the League logo on club shirt sleeves.

The five year sponsorship contract "represents the largest title sponsorship deal in the SPFL's history," added the SPFL. In 2020-21, the Scottish leagues did not have a title sponsor. The bookmaker Ladbrokes held the naming rights to the four Scottish divisions, including the "Ladbrokes Premiership" over the 2016-2020 cycle (£5m/€5.6m paid over the last two seasons of the contract).
