Czech Republic: Petr Fousek elected president of the Football Association (FAČR) for a 4-year term

Petr Fousek, born on 19/11/1962, has been elected president of the Football Association of the Czech Republic (FAČR) for a four-year term at the Association's general meeting in Nymburk (CZE) on 03/06/2021. Fousek will succeed Martin Malik, who defeated him in the previous elections in 2017.

Petr Fousek has held various positions at the Czech FA since 1990, including general  from 2001 to 2007 and advisor to the president from 2011 to 2017.

"I feel tremendous responsibility in front of me. It is a great honour for me to lead the largest sporting association in my country," said Petr Fousek, who has also held positions in several UEFA bodies, including chairing the Futsal Committee from 2000 to 2007.
