Serie A TIM: promoted side Salernitana for sale, co-owner Claudio Lolito already holds SS Lazio

"US Salernitana 1919 announces that it has entrusted industry professionals with the task of managing the sale of the club's shares," announced the club, promoted to the Serie A TIM for the 2021-22 season, on 11/06/2021.

The club from Salerno (Campania, ITA) is 50% owned by Enrico Lotito (via Omnia Service Srl), son of Claudio Lotito, and 50% by the Mezzaroma family (via Morgenstern Srl), owned by the latter's wife. Claudio Lotito is already the owner of SS Lazio (Serie A TIM), of which Omnia Service is a "related party", as evidenced by the Roman club's financial statements. As the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) regulations prohibit the same person from controlling - even indirectly - two Serie A clubs (see below), the transfer of Salernitana to new owners is a necessary precondition for the club's effective promotion to the top flight.
