Euro 2020: head-to-head France - Germany at the Allianz Arena (Munich, GER), Tuesday 15/06/2021

France, ranked second in the FIFA rankings, will face 12^th-placed Germany at the Allianz Arena (Munich, GER) on the first matchday of Group F (which also includes Portugal and Hungary) of the UEFA Euro 2020 on Tuesday 15/06/2021 (kick-off 21:00 CET).

The German Football Association (Deutscher Fussball Bund), provisionally led by Rainer Koch and Peter Peters after the resignation of its president, Fritz Keller, on 17/05/2021, has a total of 7.1 million licensees in 2021, and states that it is enough to take out one license in order to be counted among the DFB's affiliates in Germany each season. German football will have 1.8 million active players in 2021. The French Football Federation, which Noël Le Graët has chaired for exactly 10 years (elected on 18/06/2011, last re-elected on 13/03/2021 for four years), claims to have 1.9 million licensees for the 2020-21 season, of which 1.6 million will be playing.

In terms of turnover, the DFB posted revenues of €405.2m for the 2019 financial year, while the total revenue the FFF posted in 2019-20 was €234.7m (see details below).
