ECA: "European football is unbeatable when acting together as one" (Nasser Al-Khelaïfi)

"The attendance at today's meeting by president Aleksander Ceferin (UEFA) is testament to how European football is unbeatable when acting together as one. This will be the defining spirit through which I will lead ECA and our member clubs throughout my mandate as ECA chairman," declared Nasser Al-Khelaïfi (QAT), during the European Club Association's first executive board meeting under its new chairman, in Munich (GER) on 15/06/2021.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), was appointed chairman of the ECA on 21/04/2021. He succeeded Andrea Agnelli, president of Juventus FC (Serie A TIM), who resigned from the ECA on 18/04/2021 in order to become vice-president of "The Super League", the company which intended to organise a new European competition.

"ECA's role in safeguarding the future of European football has never been more important. Moving forward, I will ensure ECA continues to protect the interests of all European clubs, their communities and fans," added Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
