Roland-Garros: cumulative audience of 39 million viewers on France Télévisions (+1 million vs 2020)

"39 million viewers saw at least one minute of Roland-Garros 2021, almost one million more than in 2020. This is the best coverage since 2013. 52% of 15-24 year olds were reached, compared to 40% in 2020," announced the French TV operator France Télévisions, on 14/06/2021, the day after the end of the tournament.

The 2021 edition of the Grand Slam tournament had been postponed by one week (from 30/05 to 13/06/2021, instead of the 23/05 - 06/06/2021 period initially planned). The 2020 edition of Roland-Garros drew a cumulative audience of 38.1 million viewers in France on the public channels of the France Télévisions group, 8 million more than in 2019.

"An average of 1.6 million viewers watched the afternoon matches on France 2 (average audience share: 17.7%), the best audience and audience share since 2015.
