Women's World Cup 2023: FIFA to inspect 10 stadiums in Australia & New Zealand from 21/06/2021

"A FIFA delegation, including experts from key operational areas" will begin an inspection visit in Wellington (New Zealand) on Monday 21/06/2021, which will take them to the nine host cities, ten stadiums and "other potential tournament venues" for the Women's World Cup 2023, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 20/07 to 20/08/2023.

"After completing the mandatory quarantine period in the host countries, FIFA representatives will also meet with key stakeholders and representatives in Australia and New Zealand, including host member associations and local authorities, to discuss preparations and key operational matters for the tournament," said FIFA on 10/06/2021.

"Following an extensive number of virtual workshops and collaboration with host cities and many stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand since the tournament was awarded last year (on 25/06/2020), this visit will be an important step in the overall tournament preparations as well as our aim to organise an incredible FIFA Women's World Cup with Australia and New Zealand in 2023," said Rhiannon…
