LaLiga Santander: FC Barcelona crosses milestone of 400 million followers on social media

FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) has just passed the 400 million followers mark on social media, announced the club on 18/06/2021. The club is present on 15 platforms (see below), including Facebook (136 million followers), Instagram (118 million) and Twitter (71 million).

"This spectacular figure is further proof of the club's global reach, and how it is leading the way in the digital ecosystem with regard to sport and entertainment. And that’s not just in terms of followers, but engagement too," explained the club, which has gained 35 million followers, including 10 million on Instagram alone, since 01/07/2020.

"By combining news with entertainment and carefully following trends on each of the platforms in order to provide fans with the kind of content they most enjoy, FC Barcelona has not only attracted new followers but also new engagement.
