Basketball: FC Bayern Munich and LDLC ASVEL to become permanent members of the EuroLeague

FC Bayern Munich (easyCredit BBL) and LDLC ASVEL (Jeep Élite) have each been granted a long-term license (A license) for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague starting from the 2021-22 season, announced the executive committee of EuroLeague Commercial Assets SA (ECA), the structure in charge of organising the competition, on 18/06/2021.

Both teams participated in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 editions of the EuroLeague by virtue of an invitation granted for two seasons by the European private league. 11 of the 18 participating teams have so far been granted a permanent license (see below).

"It's a great day! It was a dream when I arrived and now it is a reality! I would like to thank all those who have worked to build the project. Everyone has worked hard as a team to achieve this goal, and we will not let up now, on the contrary. We now want to prove that we deserve this place among the greatest, we want to put LDLC ASVEL at the top!" said the French former NBA basketball star Tony Parker, president of LDLC ASVEL.
