2.Bundesliga: R+V Versicherung extends as a partner of FC Schalke 04

The German insurance company R+V Versicherung has extended as a premium partner of FC Schalke 04 (2.Bundesliga), according to the club on 17/06/2021.

R+V Versicherung has been a partner of FC Schalke 04 since an agreement signed on 02/04/2015, which was then extended for four seasons (2019-2023) on 30/07/2018. The value of the initial agreement was estimated at €2m per season.

As part of the agreement, R+V Versicherung "supports, among other things, the FC Schalke 04 Football School, which organises training camps throughout Germany, inspiring children and young people to take up football as a team sport. R+V has also been a partner of the club's esports division since 2019," explained the German club.

"As the old contract, which ran until 2023, was not valid for the 2.Bundesliga, a new contract was drawn up with which R+V underlines the trusting long-term cooperation and also stands by Schalke in difficult times. In the event of the club's direct promotion (back to the Bundesliga), the partnership would automatically continue until 2023, as originally agreed," explained FC Schalke 04
