Ligue 1: British car manufacturer MG Motor becomes sleeve sponsor of Olympique Lyonnais (2021-2024)

MG Motor, a British car manufacturer belonging to the Chinese group Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC), has become a major partner and sleeve sponsor of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) for three seasons (2021-2024), announced the club on 25/06/2021. The agreement, which concerns the French club's mens team, was negotiated by the marketing agency Sportfive.

MG Mortor has the status of major partner, the second level in OL's sponsorship hierarchy. The car manufacturer will equip the club with a fleet of hybrid and electric vehicles.

MG Mortor succeeds AliExpress (e-commerce, Alibaba Group, CHN), sleeve sponsor of OL between 20/03 and 30/06/2021. Hyundai was the last automotive partner of Olympique Lyonnais. The partnership between the club and the South Korean manufacturer, which began in 2012-13, came to an end at the end of 2019-20, when Emirates replaced Hyundai as the club's main shirt sponsor.
