Juventus FC: economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic estimated at €320m over the 2019-2022 period

"The board of directors has analysed the impact of the pandemic on the three financial years 2019-2022, currently estimated in an overall amount of €320m as direct and indirect adverse effects," announced Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) on 30/06/2021.

"The pandemic has directly and indirectly decreased revenues deriving from several items (mainly from matches and products), has affected the prospects for realising or increasing such items and other items (mainly relating to the management of the players) and has increased certain costs, causing a significant adverse economic impact on the group's profit for the year and equity, as well as an adverse financial impact on its cash flow," explained the Turin club, whose estimate takes into account the gradual lifting of restrictions on the number of spectators in Serie A stadiums in the first half of 2021-22, as well as a "general economic environment gradually brought back to normal from the second half of 2022."
