Paris Saint-Germain: celebrating 10 years since the arrival of Qatar Sports Investments

Paris Saint-Germain, owned by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) since 30/06/2011, are celebrating 10 years since the Qatari sovereign wealth fund became the club's majority shareholder, on 30/06/2021.

48 trophies won (all teams combined), including seven of the last ten Ligue 1 titles, six Coupe de France and six Coupe de la Ligue, as well as reaching the 2019-20 Champions League final, is the sporting record of the Parisian club since the start of the 2011-12 season, the first of the QSI era.

In economic terms, Paris Saint-Germain changed dimensions as soon as its new owner arrived, which resulted in an entry into the Deloitte Football Money League - the Top 20 football clubs which generate the most revenue - straight into 10^th place from 2011-12. The club even reached 4^th place after 2014-15 (7^th in 2019-20 with €540.6m in revenue). PSG's average turnover over the last nine financial years (the figures for 2020-21 are not yet known) is around €490m and is therefore almost five times higher than what it was in 2010-11 (€100.9m).
