Euro 2020: head-to-head Belgium - Italy quarter-final in Munich (GER) on Friday 02/07/2021

Belgium, top of the FIFA rankings will face Italy (ranked 7^th) in the quarter-final of UEFA Euro 2020 at the Allianz Arena in Munich (GER) this Friday 02/07/2021 (kick-off 21:00 CET).

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC), presided over by Gabriele Gravina since October 2018 (re-elected on 22/02/2021), boasts just over one million amateur licensees (2018-19) and a turnover of €174m for the financial year 2019, while the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA), headed by Mehdi Bayat since June 2019, has nearly 550,000 licensees (2020-21) and revenues (2020) of €34.6m.

On social media, the Italian national team has nearly 9.2 million followers on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, almost 3 times as many as the Belgian team, which counts 3.2 million.

The 26 Italians selected by Roberto Mancini have been valued at a total of €751m by the website Transfermarkt as of 01/07/2021. Meanwhile, the group of 26 Belgian players led by Spaniard Roberto Martinez are valued at €664m.

Italy have won the European Championship once, in 1968, while Belgium have only reached the final once, in 1980.
