Tennis/Wimbledon: Centre Court and No.1 Court at full capacity from the quarter-finals (06/07/2021)

Following a successful first week of the tournament, and in agreement with the government and local authorities, the stands at Wimbledon's Centre Court (14,979 capacity) and No.1 Court (12,345 capacity) will be fully booked from the quarter-finals onwards (from Tuesday 06/07/2021), according to the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), organisers of the Grand Slam tournament, on 04/07/2021. "This marks the first full outdoor stadiums at a sporting event in the UK since the pandemic began."

However, all spectators will have to prove that they have been fully vaccinated, tested negative or recovered.

The 2021 Wimbledon Championships began on Monday 28/06 with 50% capacity on all courts. The AELTC had promised "full capacity crowds of 15,000 on Centre Court (10 and 11/07/2021) for the Finals weekend," on 14/06/2021.

The 2021 edition of Wimbledon is being held from Monday 28/06 to Sunday 11/07/2021. The 2020 edition, originally scheduled from 29/06 to 12/07/2020, was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
