LFP: Jean-Michel Aulas returns to the board of directors as representative of the FFF

Jean-Michel Aulas, president of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and member of the FFF executive committee, has been appointed representative of the French Football Federation on the board of directors of the Ligue de Football Professionnel, announced the LFP on 05/07/2021, during a general assembly, which "proceeded to the election and appointment of new members of the LFP board of directors following the publication of the new LFP statutes in the Official Journal on 29/05/2021."

The FFF statutes previously prohibited being a member of both the executive committee of the Federation and the board of directors of the LFP. This rule no longer concerns the "member appointed to represent the FFF" on the board of directors of the LFP, in the 2021-22 version of the FFF statutes (article 13, document available to download).

Before joining the Federation's executive committee by being elected on Noël Le Graët's list on 18/03/2017 (then re-elected on 13/03/2021), Jean-Michel Aulas had previously held a place on the French League's board from 1991 to 2017.
