India: LaLiga to be broadcast on music channel MTV India after Viacom 18 acquires TV rights

Viacom 18, a joint venture between the US media conglomerate ViacomCBS and Indian media conglomerate Network 18, has acquired the rights to broadcast LaLiga Santander in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives over the 2021-2024 cycle, on 05/07/2021.

Viacom 18 will broadcast the Spanish league matches on its music channel MTV India, some of its national and regional channels, its OTT platform Voot and via the digital service provider Jio.

The media coverage will be "enabled and supported" by Rise Worldwide, the sports marketing company that previously operated as a joint venture with agency IMG .
