Premier League: +9.3 million fans for Tottenham on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in 2020-21

The 20 clubs involved in the 2020-21 Premier League season have more than 573 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/07/2021. This total enables the Premier League to maintain its position as the most popular European Top 5 league, all three social networks combined, ahead of LaLiga Santander, with an average of 28.6 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with over 140 million fans. The club gained 8.1 million additional fans during the 2020-21 season (from 01/08/2020 to 01/07/2021), including 4.9 million on Instagram alone.

Winners of the 2020-21 Champions League, Chelsea FC are the second most popular Premier League club with over 93 million fans. The London club gained 8.1 million additional fans over the period (+9.5%), including 4.7 million on Instagram.

Liverpool FC, which gained 7.5 million fans over the period (+9.6%), complete the podium with 86.2 million fans in total.
