FFF: executive committee sets the composition of the National 1, D1 Arkema and D1 Futsal leagues

The executive committee of the French Football Federation (FFF) decided on the composition of the National 1, D1 Arkema and D1 Futsal championships for the 2021-22 season at its meeting in Paris on 13/07/2021. These decisions, implemented by the organising committees of the competitions concerned, must be ratified by BELFA, the executive board of the Ligue du Football Amateur (LFA) on Thursday 15/07/2021.

Under the regulations in force, two principles guided the decisions of the FFF executive committee:
• The reinstatement of the relegated teams at the end of the 2020-21 season, with the exception of the last ranked team, which cannot be reinstated (articles 5 and 6 of National 1, D1 Arkema and D1 futsal).
• The promotion of the best club from the lower division at the end of the last approved ranking, that of the 2019-20 season.

The executive committee's decisions have consequences for the championships concerned (see below), subject to the agreement of the clubs concerned and the favourable opinion of the DNCG.
