Italy: €36m from Euro 2020 including "income from commercial agreements" (G. Gravina, FIGC)

"Thanks to the clear course made at the European Championships the FIGC collected €28.25m (from UEFA, see details below). Adding the income from commercial agreements, the increase in the Federation's revenues is about €36m," said Gabriele Gravina, president of the Italian Football Federation, during the first federal council meeting after Italy's victory over England in the Euro 2020 final (1-1, 3-2 on penalties, in London, 11/07/2021), on 15/07/2021.

"The victory of the Euros gives a great drive to socially and economically restart Italy, it gives this country confidence and is a reason for us to be proud," explained the FIGC president.

"One of the things that gave us the greatest pleasure and gratification was the involvement of the youngest members. In the last year and a half we have lost 200,000 members due to the pandemic, so seeing so many happy young people in every corner of the country has given us strength and pleasure.
