FIFA: Kay Madati (TAN/USA) appointed as chief commercial officer effective from 19/07/2021

Kay Madati has been appointed as FIFA's chief commercial officer, announced the global body on 15/07/2021. The Tanzanian-born American, who will start his new position on 19/07/2021, succeeds Simon Thomas, who resigned in October 2020, and who himself replaced Philippe Le Floc'h a year earlier, in 2019.

"Kay's experience includes leading teams around the world at Twitter, Viacom (media conglomerate), Facebook, Time Warner (media and entertainment conglomerate) and LinkedIn (professional networking platform). He brings to FIFA his expertise in developing global partnerships, marketing, brand strategies and customer engagement techniques, as well as creative and innovative approaches to digital marketing and harnessing the potential of the social media landscape," said FIFA.
