Tour de France 2021: €2.27m in overall prize money from ASO, €619,580 in for UAE Team Emirates

UCI WorldTour cycling team UAE Team Emirates will take home €619,580 in prize money from the 2021 Tour de France, including €500,000 thanks to Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar's victory (+3 stages), €25,000 for his best climber polka dot jersey and €20,000 for his best young rider white jersey, according to Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) on 19/07/2021.

ASO distributed an overall financial allocation of €2.269m for the 2021 edition, which took place from 26/06 to 18/07/2021 (including €11,000 per stage win), compared to €2.293m for the 2020 edition.

The team of Danish rider Jonas Vingegaard (2^nd in the Tour), Jumbo-Visma, was second with €359,520 (including €200,000 for 2^nd place). The Bahrain Victorious team, winner of the team classification (€50,000 prize money) and three stages, was third with €170,310 in prize money. The Ineos Grenadiers team, led by Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz (3^rd in the Tour), was only fifth with €134,590 in prize money (including €100,000 for 3^rd place).
