"The creation of a commercial company is the will of all the French clubs. This structure is practically present in all countries. Since the league distributes all the TV rights for the clubs, this company would make it possible to professionalise, internalise and manage the attribution of these same rights. At the same time, many investors are interested in the medium and long term in financing linked to TV rights," said Jean-Michel Aulas, president of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), during a hearing at the French National Assembly as part of a parliamentary information mission on the broadcasting rights of sporting events, on 20/07/2021.

The hearings of the parliamentary information mission began on 10/06/2021 and the report will be delivered "in the autumn" of 2021.
