Premier League: Stake (betting), main shirt sponsor of Watford FC from 2021-22

Stake, a Curaçao-based sports betting operator, has become a principal partner and main shirt sponsor of Watford FC (Premier League) from 2021-22 as part of a "multi-year partnership," announced the club on 22/07/2021.

"To commemorate the beginning of the partnership, Stake will be running crypto-themed initiatives, including a 10 million Dogecoin giveaway on their international platform. In addition to this, UK audiences can expect multiple other promotions and giveaways as Stake launch their UK website," said the club. The deal was also paid for in cryptocurrency.

Stake succeeds Sportsbet.io, brand of the Estonian sports betting operator Coingaming, main shirt sponsor of the English club since 2019-20 in an initial three-season deal (2019-2022) valued at £6.6m (€7.7m) per season.
