2020-21 Coupe de France TV rights: France Télévisions and Eurosport have not paid the final €4.5m

The French public broadcasting group France Télévisions and the pay-TV group Eurosport have not settled the final instalment of their contract for the broadcast rights to the Coupe de France for the 2020-21 season, worth €4.5m, due in May 2021, according to the sports daily L'Équipe on 22/07/2021.

France Télévisions and Eurosport, which pay €22m per season over the 2018-2022 cycle for the Coupe de France broadcasting rights, are demanding a discount from the FFF due to the change in the competition's format (as a result of the health crisis) in 2020-21.

"We are in discussion, not in conflict. It will end quickly. They want to pay a little less. The Federation did the right thing. We didn't stress it much, but it was very complicated.
